COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Update November 2023
This page will contain updated information on our evolving response to COVID-19 and detail the measures that we taking to adhere statewide and national standards of care.
At ‘Ai Pono Hawaii, we strive to provide our patients and staff the highest level of safety and support at all times. This enables our program participants to focus wholly on their healing and recovery. We have implemented additional patient safety protocols on-site including pre-admission screening (described above), post-admission re-testing as appropriate, more frequent hygiene breaks, and enhanced infection control training. Our team continues to remain up to date with all current CDC and state health department guidelines.
As of August 15, 2022, our COVID policy has been updated to reflect shifts in national and statewide mandates regarding COVID-19.
All incoming patients must produce a negative COVID test that was completed no more than 72 hrs. prior to the date of admission. This can be a self-administered rapid test.
All patients will be tested upon arrival to ‘Ai Pono.
All new admissions must mask when within 6 feet of others for an initial period of five days. Because the travel process itself can cause additional stress on the immune system, this is to protect new admissions as well as others already in our care.
For more information, please speak directly with a member of our Admissions Team who would be happy to assist you in coordinating your testing and travel.
